Jazzy's Girl Power Playlist
A Jazzy playlist for the days you remember you’re not here to be used up.
Jazzy lives at Steampunk Farms Rescue Barn with a truth written into her bloodline...her mother was a racehorse. Speed, pressure, expectation, performance. A whole industry built on the idea that a body exists to produce.
Jazzy, thankfully, never had to race.
Her life now is quieter, safer, and entirely hers... No stopwatch. No starting gate. No applause that only comes when you obey.
This playlist is Jazzy’s way of saying what so many animals and humans spend years learning... You are not here to earn your worth. You are not here to be consumable. You are not here to run until you break.
Girl Power, Jazzy-style, is not sparkly motivation. It’s reclamation. It’s strength that belongs to you, not to whoever demands it. It’s the moment you stop shrinking, stop apologizing, stop performing “good enough” for someone else’s comfort.
Hit play when you need your spine back.
At the barn, we see what happens when control is removed and safety becomes consistent... bodies soften. Eyes change. Nervous systems learn they don’t have to brace for impact.
That’s what this playlist holds. Not a fantasy of power. A practice of it.
Each track is a different way to say... I’m still here. I’m still mine.
Track by track: Jazzy’s Girl Power essentials
“Unstoppable” — SIA This is the refusal to collapse in public.
“Unstoppable” is the song for walking into a day that underestimated you. It’s the sound of momentum when fear tries to negotiate. It’s not about pretending you don’t feel things. It’s about choosing movement anyway.
For Jazzy, it’s the energy of a horse who no longer runs on command, but can still move with force when she chooses.
Girl Power... agency. Power that answers to you.
“Warrior” — Demi Lovato This one is survival with a voice.
“Warrior” doesn’t romanticize pain. It names it, then refuses to be defined by it. It’s the song for anyone learning how to carry what happened without letting it own them.
The barn is full of warriors who never asked to be. This track honors the ones who keep becoming soft again after the world trained them to harden.
Girl Power... resilience. Healing that keeps its teeth.
“Brave” — Sara Bareilles This is courage without violence.
“Brave” is not the roar. It’s the clear sentence. The honest truth. The decision to stop editing yourself down to something acceptable.
For humans, it’s the moment you say what you mean without cruelty. For animals, it’s the moment they step toward you instead of away. That’s bravery too.
Girl Power... truth. The kind that opens doors.
“Flowers” — Miley Cyrus This track is independence without bitterness.
“Flowers” is the soundtrack of taking your own hand. Of learning you can meet your own needs, celebrate your own wins, and stop waiting for someone else to approve your life.
It’s not “I don’t need anyone.” It’s “I will not abandon myself.”
That distinction matters.
Girl Power... self-respect. Building a home inside your own skin.
“Girl on Fire” — Alicia Keys This one is heat with purpose.
“Girl on Fire” is what happens when power stops apologizing. It’s energy that’s been contained for too long finally getting oxygen. It’s confidence without permission.
It belongs to anyone who’s been told to be quieter, nicer, smaller, easier.
Not today.
Girl Power... presence. Taking up space like you belong there.
“Be Sweet” — The Bombpops For the punk hearts and the boundary-setters.
“Be Sweet” has that bright, biting energy that reminds you: being pleasant is not the same as being good. You can be kind and still refuse to be pushed. You can love people and still say no. You can keep your softness and still protect it.
This is the track for anyone who’s done being managed.
Girl Power... backbone. Cheerfully ungovernable.
How to use Jazzy’s Girl Power playlist
Put it on when you need... momentum after a hard week a reminder that your worth isn’t performance-based courage to set one boundary and keep it strength to choose kindness without self-erasure the energy to advocate for the beings who get used up by systems
Let it lead to one real-world action... Speak up. Step back. Say no. Donate. Volunteer. Rest.
Choose the compassionate option. Return to yourself.
Power isn’t a mood. It’s a practice.
Jazzy knows. She lived the alternative.
Hit play. Feel the fire. Keep what’s yours.
