It’s Giving Tuesday, and we’re Dreaming…small! 🙃
Sometimes, I dream we’re famous, like The Gentle Barn, Farm Sanctuary, Esther’s, Ziggy’s, OMI, AAAS, and so many others.
Oh, to dream!
…for $10,000 this Giving Tuesday, we would repair and reinforce failing fences.
…$25,000 would buy a tractor that could - literally! - move mountains!
…$60,000 would build a barn to keep every animal warm and dry when winter winds blow snow over the mountain.
…$100,000 could keep the hay shed stocked, grain bins full, well pump pumping, and hundreds of hearts and bellies happy for the ENTIRETY OF 2026.
Oh, to Dream BIG! 🥰
But, this Giving Tuesday, we’re keeping it REAL. Small, practical, achievable. 💪
Every November, our amazing friend, Corena, her generous pig, Louis - and her VERY tolerant neighbor! 🫣 - organize a pumpkin collection in Pasadena. Tomorrow, Erick and Tierra will make the 3-hour trek, rent a U-haul, load the loot, fill the tanks, and drive home to deliver the delicious goods.
Today, we need to raise $500 for truck rental and gas. It’s a small ask by comparison, but it will mean the world to every pig, goat, chicken, and cow who dives head-first into a pumpkin on Thursday morning! 🐷❤️🎃
